Your questions
How much does it cost?
Programmes start at £79 for Kickstart Standard and go up to £429 for Elite Premium, and each is a one-off payment. Lean for Life, the monthly membership for after your programme, is £35.99 a month.
How do I get started?
Go to the Start page, choose your programme and Standard or Premium, and pay by card. After you pay, you complete a short health questionnaire so I can build your plan for your level.
How do I pay?
You pay by card, and the payment is processed securely by Stripe. I do not see or store your card details.
When do I get my plan?
I build your plan once you have completed the health questionnaire. [JOHN TO CONFIRM: how soon your plan arrives after you complete the questionnaire.]
Can I get a refund?
When you buy online you have a 14-day right to cancel, with some details about how it works when you ask me to start straight away. The full details, including refunds, are on the Terms page.
Do I need to be fit to start?
No. The plans are for people who are new to the gym or coming back after a break, and the Beginner level starts with up to 3 days a week. You build up from where you are.
What is the difference between Standard and Premium?
Standard is a plan built for your level, delivered digitally to your email, with tracking. Premium is Standard plus a weekly check-in with me, where I review your progress and adjust your plan.
How many days a week will I train?
That depends on your level. Beginner is up to 3 days a week, Intermediate is up to 4 and Advanced is up to 5. Every session is a push, pull or legs session.
Do I need a gym?
The plans are built around lifting weights, so you will need regular access to a gym with weights. [JOHN TO CONFIRM: is there a home or minimal-equipment option?]
How long until I see results?
Everyone is different, so I cannot promise a timeline. The NHS describes losing 0.5kg to 1kg a week as a steady rate, and that is a sensible way to think about it. You will usually notice you feel stronger and more confident in the gym before the scales and mirror change.
Do you give nutrition guidance?
Fat loss comes down to eating a little less than you burn, and I can point you towards the basics. I am not a dietitian, so I do not give medical or condition-specific diet advice. [JOHN TO CONFIRM: exactly what nutrition guidance is included in each plan.]
What if I have an injury or a health condition?
You will tell me about injuries and health conditions on the short health questionnaire before your plan is built. I cannot give medical advice, so please speak to your GP or a physiotherapist before you start if you have any concerns. [JOHN TO CONFIRM: how plans are adapted for injuries.]
Can I cancel Lean for Life?
Yes, you can cancel any time. Cancellation takes effect from your next billing date, so you are not charged again after that. [JOHN TO CONFIRM: how to cancel, for example by emailing me.]
What happens after my programme finishes?
You can carry on with Lean for Life, a monthly membership at £35.99 a month with no check-ins. It is there to keep you training with structure once your programme ends. [JOHN TO CONFIRM: whether you can also buy another programme.]
